New Driver Education
The program comprises 25 hours of online training and 10 hours of in-car sessions. Upon completing the course, you'll obtain a certificate of completion and gain the ability to schedule your road test. By taking this course, your waiting period to schedule the road test decreases from 12 months to just 9 months.
25 hours of online learning:
- You can sign up and start online theory any time!
- Students complete modules and quizzes independently
- Complete the course on your own schedule at your own pace
- Reduce the time required to get your 5N license from 12 months to 9 months
- Receive a Drivers Ed Certificate to provide to AccessNS and Insurance.
10 hours of in-car instruction:
- Individually tailored lessons to meet the student’s needs and skill set
- Safe learning environment with dual-brake vehicles
- Schedule your lessons directly with your experienced & friendly instructor
- Lesson-by-lesson feedback provided by your instructor for review
- Use of our cars for the road test is included at no additional charge!
- To book a road test you will need to provide us a Road test Receipt which can be purchased from Access NS.

Defensive Driving
6 hour Defensive Driving / Driver Improvement Online course.
Students can complete the course independently at their home at their own pace. $99 + tax This course is for those already with a Class 5 or 5N License, it is to:Improvement Course
Once complete students will receive a digital certificate usually within 24 hours after emailing info@novasunshinedrivingltd.ca Our course is approved by Access NS and valid anywhere in NS.You can begin the online theory course at any time after signing up below. Individual lessons per hour
You have the option to schedule a private driving lesson, which spans a minimum of 2 hours, aimed at boosting and refining your driving abilities.
Road Test Package
This package includes 90 minutes training session before your road test, aimed at addressing any uncertainties and familiarizing you with the road test vehicle. We provide our fully insured vehicle for road test. Additionally, booking an extra hour incurs additional charges.
